About Us

The family-owned and operated machine shop of 62 years, Nicklaus Machine Co (and WM Nicklaus Co), came to an abrupt end with the unexpected loss of our two uncles in December 2016 / January 2017.

The idea of that being the end of the family shop didn’t sit well with me or my brother. So in 2018, with the support of our families, we began working to build a new, small machine shop in an effort to carry it forward.

As of June 17th, 2019 it will live on as Legacy Machine Works, LLC.

The name is hopefully self-evident, and the Legacy "L" logo contains the infinity symbol to represent something that keeps on going...
